KSA withholding tax (WHT) calculator

Paying a non-resident from Saudi Arabia means withholding at the domestic rate for that payment type — and if the contract is net-of-tax, the gross-up makes the tax your cost. Both computed here.

Payment category
WHT to withhold (20%)
SAR 20,000.00

SAR 80,000.00
Total cost
SAR 100,000.00
Withholding applies to payments from KSA to non-residents for KSA-source income, at the domestic rates shown; the WHT return and payment are due within the first ten days of the month following payment. A tax treaty can reduce the rate — in practice via withhold-and-refund. Gross-up clauses make the tax the payer’s cost, as computed here.
